Summer has been so super busy for us. I’ve hardly had time to update you all about the fun (and sometimes not-so-fun) things that have been going on in our lives. Today, I’d like to share a bit of it with you.
We spent a lot of time with sporting activities for our boys. They competed at Nationals competition in July and did very well. We were very proud of them! We are currently trying to get things back to normal at home as summer is winding down and school (homeschool) will be starting back up soon. I like to take the last couple of weeks of summer to unwind, organize/declutter and get back into routine. I love routine.
We have also been super busy with real estate. When we first got started I felt like it was a really hard business to get started in. I read so many books and did so much research. It took time for people to trust us because we were new and we were green. Once we started getting our feet wet, showing houses to buyers and closing deals, we eventually started getting calls from sellers as well. Now that we have been in the business for a couple of years, we are loving it, and are always excited when someone calls us to help them find the perfect home for them. There is just something about being able to help someone find shelter.
Did you know that you can measure your brand’s customer satisfaction? I had no idea until recently! I know that it’s important to keep track of your reputation and online reviews, but I had no idea that there was a system online for this. NPS (Net Promoter Score) is a straightforward metric that measures your brand’s customer satisfaction. It scores you so you can keep track and know what people think of your brand. Kinda cool!
I’ve been working hard to promote our real estate business, work on my blogs (sorry that I have been slacking), prepare for back to school (and our Holiday Guides—be on the lookout because it will be here before you know it), and have been working on social media management for others. When I say things are busy, I mean it!
But, we are still making time to make memories around the campfire, around the supper table, around the board games, on the sports fields, and anywhere else we can spend time together!
We’ve taken time to camp (in a cabin because we have yet to invest in a camper) at a KOA, which was awesome! I should write a post about the KOA we stayed in sometime. Our family had SO much fun there and there was so much to do! We have also visited some local parks, spent time at the county fair, and helped friends and family with projects they have been working on.
All in all, we have had a great (but busy) summer! I’m looking forward to Fall! I love slowing down a bit and getting into a good routine.
We hope your summer has been fun! What’s one thing you are looking forward to this fall?
