Magic & Mind Reading: Impossibilities Magic Show in Gatlinburg

A couple of weeks ago we were enjoying some much needed rest and relaxation in the Great Smoky Mountains. It has become our all time favorite vacation destination. When we get homeΒ  all our family can talk about is how much they love the Smoky Mountains and how we can’t wait to go back.

One thing that had our boys talking non stop (and they are still talking about it to this day) is the Impossibilities Magic Show at the Iris Theater in downtown Gatlinburg. Now, we’ve been visiting Gatlinburg for 19 years, and this is the first time we’ve ever seen a show quite like this!

The Iris Theater is located below the Space Needle in downtown Gatlinburg.

Prepare to have your mind blown at the Impossibilities Magic Show!

Magic & Mind Reading: Impossibilities Magic Show in Gatlinburg:

Master Mentalist Erik Dobell performed stunning magic, reality shattering mind reading and hilarious mayhem right in front of our eyes and we are still trying to figure out the tricks! This show is a wonderful evening of fun that the whole family will enjoy!

To be honest, we felt that Erik Dobell should be performing on a large stage with a lot of flashy lights and sounds, but he wasn’t. He was performing all of his tricks right in front of our eyes and yet we still couldn’t figure them out! He even controlled the lights and sounds himself! It was pretty cool!

(Pictured above- Our 12 year old son)

The theater is small and the performance is quite close and personal, which makes it even better! Being so close to the mentalist and still not being able to see and figure out what was going on just has me in complete and utter shock!

(My husband took part in my favorite performance of the night. I’m still trying to figure out how he did it! I recorded some of the performance, unfortunately my phone stopped recording mid-way and I missed the good stuff!)

Several of our family members (including myself) were called on stage to help with some of the tricks. I think we all thought that being that close to Mentalist Erik Dobell would give us an insight on what was really going on, however we were so wrong!

Mind blown! I know, I keep saying it, but that’s how we all felt when the performance was over. All our boys could talk about the whole way back to our cabin was THAT show and their favorite performances. Our younger 3 boys enjoyed the show so much that they have been performing magic tricks for us at home pretty much non-stop!

They have also been watching Impossibilities Show videos on YouTube.

Don’t just take my word for it, if you are ever in the Gatlinburg area we HIGHLY recommend you visit the Iris Theater and check out the Impossibilities Magic Show. You won’t be disappointed!

This sounds like an awesome show, I have to admit I have always wanted to see something like this live so I will have to keep an eye out and see if this show comes anywhere nearby.

My boys love stuff like this. We were recently pulled into a show by a street performer juggling sticks of fire and he was also a comedian. My husband got pulled into his show as well and it was so funny. I can’t believe this guy did his own lights for his own show!

That sounds like fun! I’m always a little nervous when asked to go on stage at a show, but this one was so up close and personal and everyone in the room was sort of involved, so it pretty relaxed and fun!

I love watching performers doing magic tricks. Although reason dictates that all these are just illusions or slight of hand, but it is just awesome how the magicians make it look so real! I wish they would perform in an area near me. I’d love to take my nephew to see it.

The fun part is that the leaving clueless about how the trick was done! It definitely gave us a lot to talk about on the car ride back to our cabin!
