boys(This is what it’s like trying to take photos of teenage boys!)

This post is sponsored by Tradewinds and the Mom It Forward Blogging Network.

Our oldest son just turned 16! It’s crazy how fast time flies. It really does feel like just yesterday I was rocking him to sleep and changing his dirty diapers. I always thought people were crazy when they said that if you were to blink they would grow up! I totally say that now! My advice to new young moms is often to enjoy every minute with your little ones and enjoy every minute with your older ones. No minute is ever wasted when you are spending time together as a family.

We always take our children out to lunch or dinner for their birthday and after we usually ask them if there are any special snacks they would like. Most of the time our boys will want candy, chips and pop. You know, all of the sweet and salty things their little bodies crave!? Well, when we asked our 16 year old what he would like today he said…All I want is for you to pick me up some Tradewinds Sweet Tea. I’m not even kidding!

You see, we’ve always bonded over sweet tea in our home. We have some real fond memories that were made while sipping on glasses of ice cold sweet tea. It’s something that I hope my boys will always remember, and I hope that when they are older and they are sipping sweet tea, they will remember all of the memories that we made in our home while enjoying the cold beverage. (Side note—I was thrilled that he asked for sweet tea given I had been chosen for this promotion! I begged Tradewinds to choose me because our family loves the product so much—seriously!)

We’ve enjoyed sweet tea after playing soccer, running around the yard together, taking long walks in the park, doing yard work, and on so many other occasions, but I think my favorite is when they ask for sweet tea as their birthday celebration treat! I’m marking this on our calendar and hope to surprise him with sweet tea again next year! It’s those little things in life that make all the difference.

We picked our Tradewinds Slow-Brewed Iced Tea up at our local Kroger. You can head to your local store to purchase your Tradewinds Tea for your family to enjoy. It’s simply delicious and we love that each batch of Tradewinds Tea is slow-brewed using real tea leaves. Tradewinds Slow-Brewed Iced Tea is available in 18.5 oz bottles (which are great for packing in the cooler when on the go!) or gallon sizes. There are a variety of flavors ranging from Raspberry, Hint of Lemon, Green Tea with Honey, Sweet Tea and Unsweet Tea. Check out all of the flavors HERE.

Head on over so you can Buy Now and enjoy later!

Nothing beats a cool glass of sweet tea and it is not nearly popular enough in our area of the country. It seems like Tradewinds can help me get the much needed fix I crave.

We like to treat our girls to a special birthday dinner out too. I wish mine would just ask for a jug of tea lol. I haven’t tried Tradewinds tea before, but I’ll have to grab some soon. It sounds delish!

Tradewinds is definitely one of our favorites. I think it’s funny they wouldn’t let you photograph them. I am sure my boys will be there soon enough.

I’ve always chased my children around with the camera. Once they hit their teenage years they started hiding from the camera…sigh!

Living in the south, I am a huge sweet tea drinker. I usually make my own, but every once in a while I like to buy some from the store. Ill be picking some of this up my next trip at the grocery store to give it a try!
