Do you own a GPS Tracking device?
My husband has one that he often uses when he is going on a business trip, however I have had the chance to use it while traveling for vacation a couple of times. They are so cool! We once took our car GPS with us to Tennessee. As we are driving through the mountains and my husband is insisting he knows where he is going, I’m trying to type the address into the GPS tracking device. We finally get the address typed in and the GPS takes us down a few dirt roads and finally onto a one lane dirt road with very (I mean VERY) far drops off the side of the road (and no guard rails). We end up at a dead end and have to maneuver our large suburban back into the right direction. That is the only time my GPS has failed me, although I’m pretty sure that it probably was the fastest route, had the road not ended! (We have a pretty outdated GPS system as well).
I am so impressed at all of the technology these days. Did you know that you can track where your children are going when they have a GPS system in their car? I’m not sure, but I believe there are even ways to track their speed and so forth. What do you think of all of this? Do you feel like it is in your child’s best interest to have a GPS system, something that will help to protect them? Or, do you feel like you are invading their privacy by adding something like this to their vehicle? (It will be interesting to hear everyone’s thoughts on this.)
For now I think I will add a GPS to my list of things to purchase as I would really love to add one to my vehicle.
