I cut 2 of my boys’ hair again today. This time my 4 year old was brave enough to let me cut his hair. He actually asked me to cut it! He told me that his hair was getting long like a girl (it wasn’t that long) and that he wanted it short like Daddy’s. I was excited that I got to use my new AirCut hair cutting system again! I know, a little corny, but it is fun!
Do you all remember the Flowbee? My stepfather had one of these when I was growing up and I can remember cutting his hair with it. The only thing about the Flowbee though was that it hooked up to a vacuum cleaner, which was somewhat a pain in the butt.
I like the AirCut because it sucks all of the hair up into it (no mess! Ya!) and it plugs directly into the wall. The AirCut sort of looks like a hair dryer, and is pretty lightweight.
Anyways, this is starting to sound like an ad! You should all know that I am not writing this for AirCut. I already posted a review for the product as they had asked and I was not asked to post this one.
However, after cutting my 9 year old’s hair yet again (his hair grows extremely fast and gets curly as it gets long, which can be pretty unmanageable) and my 4 year old’s hair for the first time I felt like I had to show off my before and after pics again!
Here you go!
We’ll start with the 4 year old. It is hard to tell in the pics, but I actually cut quite a bit of hair off. We put gel in his hair in the after pics and the wind was blowing his hair around a bit causing a little hair to stick up. The left will be before pics and right will be after pics.
The following pics are of my 9 year old. I just cut his hair with the AirCut a couple of weeks ago, but he already needed another cut. His hair is so easy to cut with the AirCut that I actually don’t mind cutting it. I think that you have to practice to get the hang of cutting with this system, and it works differently on different hair types (in my opinion) but my 9 year old has the perfect hair for it!
Again, before pics on left and after pics on the right.
What do you all think?
Would you be brave enough to try something like this yourself at home, or do you think I’m crazy?
I figured their hair grows back fast enough that had I actually messed it up it would only look bad for a couple of weeks. Luckily I didn’t mess anything up. However, I have messed their hair up pretty bad with the clippers before!
I just wish these pics showed the before and after a little better. My 4 year old’s hair was getting really thick and I thinned it out a lot. With the gel in his hair (I should have left that off for the pics) it is hard to tell that I did a lot of cutting and sort of looks choppy in spots. I assure you that it is not. I’m sure I will have more pics of him to post on here soon enough. 🙂
Oh, and in case you missed the Discount Code on my previous post it is still good if you decide to purchase an AirCut of your own. If anyone purchases one I would love to hear your thoughts on it!
