As you all know things have been a bit crazy around here latey.
I don’t think I need to remind you about all that has been going on, but for those just tuning in I will recap a bit.
I gave birth to my 5th son 8 weeks ago. Yes, it has really been that long! I can’t believe it either!
After giving birth I have had Mastitis and kidney stones. I had to have surgery a couple of weeks ago to remove the stones and since then I have been feeling great! The issue now is that after I had the surgery my throat was sore from the tube being in. While feeling my sore neck I noticed a lump. I asked my Urologist if it was normal to have a lump due to the tube that was placed in my throat and he said no. The lump was actually in the thyroid area, and he said I should have it looked at.
I called my family doctor and they ordered bloodwork and an ultrasound of my thyroid.
The bloodwork came back fine, but the ultrasound showed that there is a nodule present. I was then referred to a specialist who will do a biopsy on the nodule and then proceed from there.
So, because of my kidney stones my nodule in my thyroid was found. Weird!

On the way home from visiting my Mom today I had a nice little conversation with my 5 year old.
It went something like this…
5 year old: Mom, I know how to speak Spanish
Me: You do? How?
5 year old: (He said something silly that I have never heard. I think he made it up!)
Me: Wow, that’s good! What does it mean?
5 year old: Oh, it’s a secret! I can’t tell you!
Ha ha!
Then he says…
5 year old: Do Amish speak Spanish?
Me: No, they don’t speak Spanish.
5 year old: When I grow up I want to be Amish
Me: Really?
5 year old: No wait, they poop in a bucket! I don’t want to do that.
Kids are SO funny!
