There is nothing better than listening to a child sing. I love to listen to my boys sing. My youngest gets so excited when music comes on the television or the radio. It is really so cute to watch him react. I couldn’t help but laugh tonight when he came running to the living room to listen to “My Papa is a Moco Jumbie.” He just loves this one! In case you haven’t ever heard it I have attached a video for you to see. It’s so cute! Do you not agree? ๐
Not a lot has been going on here lately. We have been trying to go through our toy room and get things ready for the holidays. The boys are great with parting with old toys. They are a little hesitant at first, but they know that Santa will bring them more toys, and they also want to help other children out that don’t have many toys by giving some of theirs to them. I think it’s great to teach young kids how great it feels to share and help others out. I am still having a hard time trying to figure out exactly what to get the boys. They really haven’t given me much to go on. My 4 year old says he wants every musical instrument there is! He’s so cute, and I’m sure he’ll probably get a drum and a few other noisy things that will drive Mommy crazy! Ha ha! It won’t be the first time we have had a drum set in this house. The boys have a lot of different instruments, and we actually just acquired a good sized (but not too large) piano as well. Oh to find the room for everything! (This is the reason we must organize and de-clutter.) I plan on turning the boys’ playroom into a nice sitting room with their tv and piano and games. I will keep a lot of the toys in there, but I hope to organize them more and make everything more fun! Yes, I do need you all to wish me luck! ha ha!
The boys got their report cards the other day, and I couldn’t be more proud of them! My oldest son’s teacher actually sent me an email telling me how proud she is of him and that she is honored to be his teacher. This just makes a Momma feel so good! I love my boys!
Doesn’t it just make you feel good to hear that you are doing something right as a parent and that all the effort and hard work really is paying off? You know, we go into parenthood blind, not knowing really what is expected of us. I think when you hear how great of a job you are doing as a parent it just shows that you are doing things right and it makes it all well worth it. ๐
