Well Old Man Winter is definitely on the top of my “not so nice” list right now. Not only did he not quick shaking it, but I think he decided to shake it a little extra last night and again this morning. He started shaking and the wind started blowing and now the roads are drifted and the snow is STILL coming down! So, once again there was no school today. We are now making up days on days that we normally would have had off for the holidays. So far we only have one make up day, but who knows what Old Man Winter has in store for us the rest of the week. Hopefully he’s tired after last night and decides to take a little rest.
Thursday is my birthday and I was really hoping to be able to go out and get a few things done without dragging along all 4 boys. Besides, if they stay home from school I won’t drive on the roads and we will once again be stuck indoors.
The boys are in the other room playing. They are being really good and everyone is getting along great! Should I bite my tongue now? I’m afraid if I say that too loud they might hear me and feel the need to do something crazy.
I really shouldn’t say that they aren’t doing anything crazy. A little while ago the older 2 come running in all excited. Here is how our conversation went…
“Mom, Mom, we made a really cool trap and we tried it out on 4 year old (they used his name) and it worked really well! It even ripped his underwear!”
Me-Yikes! I don’t think it’s a good idea to be trying things out on your 4 year old brother. Besides, what sort of trap is this that rips people’s underwear?
Oldest son-Don’t worry Mom it’s nothing really.
Well at least no one got hurt, right? Silly boys! They are always up to something. I guess I better go check on them again real quick! You never know if they are trying to hang someone from the ceiling fan or something. It’s getting a little too quiet.
More to come on Raising My 4 Sons…
