Today was going to be the first day all of my kids (with the exception of my 20 month old) would be in school. We had Christmas break and then our 6 year old was out for a week with the chicken pox. As soon as our 6 year old went back to school we had our 4 year old home with the chicken pox.
Here is how my day started…
I woke up not feeling so well and hugging the toilet quite a bit. Not a fun way to start of the morning! I took my morning sickness pill and after getting the boys ready for school I rested myself on the couch for a bit. After resting I started to feel quite better. I got up, showered, and even straightened my hair today! I fixed lunch for the 2 that are home today. Everything is going much better. Then all of a sudden it happens….my 4 year old says he doesn’t feel well! I’m thinking maybe he is just nervous about going back to school because he is pretty shy and does that sometimes. I continue to get him ready and then I go back into the bathroom to put my makeup on and he comes rushing into the bathroom and throws up! That’s how the rest of the day has been…throwing up and belly aches! No fun! I feel so bad for the little guy. So, instead of going back to school today he was home again.
Please keep your fingers crossed that this is only the 24 hour bug that is going around and that it doesn’t have to run it’s course through every single person in my family. Yikes! Haven’t we have enough of this stuff? I mean, really? We are never sick this much, but this winter has been horrible!
I hope that you all are doing well and staying healthy. 🙂
