Nothing Says Summer Like Ice Cream +Giveaway!

Our family is super busy, especially this time of the year when soccer is about to begin (we have 3 playing this year!) Even though we may have a crazy busy schedule I always try to make sure we all have time (even if only for a little bit) to sit down as a family and enjoy a meal together. It’s the little things, like eating together and chatting about how our day went while asking others to politely pass a bowl, the really brings a family together. Spending time with family over dessert can really put a smile on the faces of not only the kids, but the adults too!

So, not long ago we received Jack Nicklaus Ice Cream to try. Let me start by saying that this ice cream was developed in partnership with the legendary pro-golfer, Jack Nicklaus and the Schwan Food Company. The goal was to bring families together with an affordable (and delicious) dessert. But, that’s not all…a portion of sales of the product goes to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Now you can eat your ice cream and help other families out—SCORE!

My family was super excited about the opportunity to test out the ice cream and have a fun golf-themed ice creamed party, but I want to be honest about how this all went down. I had an appointment (As some of you know I’ve had some health issues for a while now) at the hospital and my mother came over. While I was at the hospital having some tests run, my boys quickly devoured the ice cream! Don’t worry…they left me a LITTLE so I could give each flavor a try as well (how sweet of them!)

When I got home our boys were playing golf in the living room (It’s really quite cool!), decorating the house, and sitting there with full ice cream bellies. I just had to laugh! While we want everything to work out picture perfectly and have great plans for our life, not everything always works out that way, and that’s ok! Maybe my boys enjoyed the ice cream and had the party without me (and maybe I missed some great photo opps), but they had fun and were super excited to tell me all about it—-over ice cream (I had to share my LITTLE bit!)

Moral of the story…Ice cream is tempting and a great way for families to bond!

    It has been my favorite for years and years.
    I don’t think i’ll ever trade it but I will eat other flavors lol

    We had a tiramisu ice cream once at a restaurant in Charleston and I still have cravings for it! Wish I could find one like it..favorite ice cream ever!
