Anytime we receive free food for ourselves and then food to give away to our readers, we jump on it! Seriously, food is expensive these days! Plus, I’m always happy to try new things out. I get bored with the same old stuff all of the time. What about you? Do you like trying new things?

We received potatoes from Klondike brands as well as Johnny’s Seasoned Salt and Sea Salt.

The company wanted us to use the products and then come up with a recipe of our own. They did however provide us with a nice little recipe book, but we have yet to make any of the recipes in the book.

klondike

The first time we used the products we simply cut and boiled the potatoes (we did not remove the skins because they carry so many vitamins and our family loves to eat them). When the potatoes were soft we smashed them, added a little milk and butter and then mix in Johnny’s sea salt. They were delicious!

I must say that these are some of the best potatoes we have ever eaten, and I’m proud to say I cooked them at home, but really it was the potato itself that made the meal so tasty.

About Our Sponsor

Klondike Brands potatoes grow several exclusive variety of potatoes with thin skins and creamy yellow flesh. The Klondike Rose potatoes that we reviewed have a lovely rose-colored skin and a gold-colored flesh. Once you try Klondike potatoes, you won’t want any other! They have a taste like none we have ever tried. It really is hard to explain, so you must try them for yourself so that you can see what we are talking about. I promise, you won’t be disappointed!

Johnny’s Fine Foods has some of the best seasoning salts! We can’t wait to get our grill out and really give these salts a good run. We have been adding the sea salt to our meals (any meal we would normally add salt too) and it is our new favorite salt! My boys now ask for the “sea salt” instead of asking for the salt. It’s delicious on beef and noodles and Klondike rose potatoes go wonderfully with this meal!
