Where do I even begin tonight? Ok, here goes…We are all sitting in the living room watching television. Our oldest had turned the tv to a Nickelodeon show, Malcolm in the Middle. I’m not sure I have ever actually seen this show, and I’m trying to get the baby to sleep, so I’m not actually watching a whole lot of it. The boys are just sitting here watching the tv, and I must say they are very into it. And then all of a sudden our 6 year old says, “What is sex?” My oldest, who is almost 9 is giggling, and our almost 4 year old is just sitting there. My jaw is about to drop to the floor as I’m yelling for my hubby to get in the room to help me out! How do you answer this sort of question when you are speaking to 3 little boys all under 9!? So, I’m still thinking and still have not answered the question, and my darling 6 year old says, “What Mom, just tell us.” Our almost 9 year old says I know what it means as he is giggling a little more. I ask him to whisper in my ear just exactly what he thinks it means because I would really like to know what he is thinking, but he says it’s gross and he can’t talk about it. Yikes, what have the kids at school been telling him!? At this point I’m a little worried about what my kids are learning and thinking because you really just never know how things are explained from the mouth of one little boy to the ear of another. So my hubby says let’s not talk about it because it’s something private like how we don’t talk about our “private parts.” So our (almost) 4 year old blurts out (in a rather loud voice) “so it means butts and weenies, right Mommy!?” Oh my! That is all I have to say right now…Oh my!

We have a really big weekend planned…fireworks tomorrow night, birthday party Saturday and Chuck E Cheese Sunday. More to come soon on my life and raising my 4 sons! 🙂
