Orange Creamsicle Donut Bath Bomb
Ingredients:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup white kaolin clay
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon polysorbate 80
- 2 tablespoons Shea butter
- Orange cream fragrance oil
- 1 tablespoon orange mica powder
- 1 tablespoon white mica powder
- 2-3 cubes of goats milk soap
- 2 teaspoons white or orange sprinkles
- Spray bottle of rubbing alcohol
- 1 large mixing bowl
- Silicone donut mold (you can use metal, but they come out easier with the silicone)
- Small shallow dish
Directions:
Steps 1-5-: Add baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, and white kaolin to a large bowl. Whisk dry ingredients together.
Step 6: Add the coconut oil. This binds all the ingredients together, so your bath bombs don’t crumble when you touch them!
Step 7: Add the polysorbate 80. This helps the coconut oil disperse more evenly in your bath water, makes the bath bombs bubbly, and prevents the mica from sticking to the side of the tub.
Steps 8-10: Add shea butter and orange cream scented oil. Mix ingredients together
Steps 11-12: Add orange mica powder to the bowl and mix all the ingredients together. You will know when the mixture is perfect when it feels like wet sand and you can press the mixture together in your hands and it stays together.
Step 13: Add your mixture to your mold and pack in tightly. Use your hand or the bottom of the scented oil. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours or until completely dry to the touch.
Step 14: Carefully “pop” bombs from mold. Spread out onto a baking sheet or plate.
Step 15: In a small shallow bowl, microwave-safe bowl, melt your soap cubes in the microwave for 15-20 seconds. If it is still not completely melted, heat for another 10 seconds.
Steps 16-17: Dip the donut into the melted soap. This is your “glaze.” Immediately after adding soap glaze, add sprinkles. And allow drying.
You may need to use your spray bottle of rubbing alcohol to spritz your mixture if it gets too dry as you are adding it to your mold. Give a few spritzes and mix together until it has that wet sand feel again.
When finished, you can package them in cellophane bags and tie them with a ribbon to give as gifts to friends and family members.

These are adorable! I used to make bath bombs back in the day, but they were just very simple, round balls. Nothing as nice these creamsicle donuts! It’s been quite a while since I crafted…but you just got me in the mood again! Thanks!
