Today was our first day back to school!
While I wish I could say that we prepared like crazy for this day, I can’t. I really wanted to be more prepared and organized, but after having my surgery to remove my gallbladder a couple of weeks ago and then dealing with some unexpected bumps in my recovery (don’t worry, I’m much better now!), we didn’t get as prepared as I had planned.
It’s okay though!
We decided to change things up this year and after much prayer, we enrolled our 5 boys into Liberty University Online Academy.
I can’t say a whole lot about it as today is our first day, but I must say that regardless of my feelings of not being well prepared, everything went so smooth!
Our boys loved their lessons today and I felt like things were so much less stressful and hectic. And…we had NO tears!!! (That’s always a plus because my little guys often struggled to sit for lessons). Our 5 year old kept asking me if he could do lessons today and our 7 year old couldn’t quit talking about the short video lessons he watched!
I’m excited for the rest of the year!

We started back to school on the same day. Luckily I just have one in school now but it was his first year in middle school but all went well. So glad Things went well for you and the boys despite not fully being prepared. I hope all is well with your recovery.

How awesome that your 5 boys liked the schooling and are excited for the new year. That is always good to hear when kids get excited. I hope you recover fast from your gallbladder removal.
