Most of you already know that my husband and I were married in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in 1999. We try to bring our family back to the area at least once a year. There have been a few years that we didn’t make it back, but we love the area so much that we really try hard to make it back at least once a year. The cute little chapel that we were married in is still standing along the main strip in Gatlinburg. It’s nice to see that it still exists, and it’s neat to be able to show our children where it all began.
The last couple of years we have ventured to different towns and have vacationed in Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Cosby, Wears Valley and Townsend. This year we decided that we wanted to go back to where it all started and we were going to stay in Gatlinburg. The thing I love about staying in Gatlinburg is that it is so close to everything. We really don’t have to go far to see any of the attractions and if we need to pop into the cabin for a quick outfit change or just want to sit back and relax for a bit between attractions, we can.
During our Stay in the Smoky Mountains we stayed in a cabin called Views to Die For at the wonderful Gatlinburg Falls Resort.

Gatlinburg Falls Resort is operated by Venture Resorts, the largest cabin rental agency in the Smoky Mountains. They started out with cabins in Gatlinburg Falls Parkview Resort, but have since grown and now manage over 400 cabins in resorts around Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Wears Valley.

With 400 cabins to choose from, you are bound to find one your family will fall in love with and enjoy. Cabins range in size from 1 bedroom to 18 bedrooms! Wouldn’t it be cool to stay in an 18 bedroom Smoky Mountain Mansion? It would definitely make a great family retreat!

Cabin amenities vary by cabin, but include things such as Jacuzzi tubs, pool tables, game rooms with arcade games (Galaga, Ms PacMan) and some even have home theaters! Some of the cabins allow pets with a generous pet policy: $50 pet deposit, with no size or weight restrictions.

Our family had such a good time hanging out and relaxing in our cabin that we didn’t want to go home! As a matter of fact, our boys were begging us to extend our stay and we are already planning our next trip to the Smoky Mountains—hopefully this Fall!

It really was a relaxing vacation! Having the game room and home theater kept my boys busy while we were hanging out at the cabin and everyone was happy! We seriously can’t wait to go back!

My FAVORITE getaway spot is the mountains. I live in Florida…so it’s hard to find a better place than our beaches. So the mountains it is! LOVE the views. LOVE the weather (all year long!!)

You know, I have yet to visit FL. It’s on my list, but every year when we talk about vacation everyone is drawn to the mountains. I must say that once you go there, you might not want to leave (we don’t!) lol

Yes, we were thrilled to have been introduced to this nice little resort with the views and location convenience. The mountains are always calling my name! You should definitely visit at least once. There are so many things to do in the area. We’ll have more posts on that as well. 🙂

I’ve never been in this place before but it really looks so beautiful and welcoming. I do like the home theater wherein you can relax and watch your favorite movie.
The home theater was definitely an added bonus! My boys really enjoyed the game room as well! It was fun going down there and playing pool and other games as a family. We made some great memories while relaxing and enjoy each others company. I can’t wait to do it all over again!

I love close to nature vacations as well! Raising 5 boys who are always curious and wanting to be outdoors has really made me appreciate the outdoors more. Our resort was so cozy and peaceful and the views were amazing!

It is definitely a great place for a family vacation, and the resort we stayed in have cabins of all sizes, so you can bring your immediate family or book a retreat with the extended family!
I’m about 99% sure this is where we stayed when we vacationed with our extended family years ago. I loved it then and I do now, too. I remember feeling like this was the perfect place to stay in the Smokies.

When my daughter was very young, we rented a chalet in the Smokies to meet my parents halfway (they live in KY). It was wonderful! So relaxing and beautiful. Now we have a camper, so we often stay in the Cosby area.

What a wonderful place to stay. We’ve stayed at a couple of places over the years in the Smoky Mountains, I so love it. This past year my cousin went to visit family in the Smoky’s and her pictures were so nice, I’d love to go back again. This is a place for us, nice amenities and the view!!!
