We have had our beloved cat since we got married, 13 years ago. He was the very first thing we owned together. We picked him out together, named him and welcomed him into our home we had bought together. With that being said, I’m sure you can understand how important our cat is to us. He’s a part of our family.
Now there are times when our cat misbehaves and acts up. I was quite used to it.
He also hated to get into the vehicle. He is an indoor cat and he knows that if I’m taking him in the car he is going to the Vet. We have to chase him through the house and fight him to get him into his cat carrier. (We couldn’t possibly hold him or carry him because he scratches when he’s scared.)
For the past 13 years I have just dealt with this. I have taken him to the vet as little as possible and have tried to keep his nerves calm. I was shocked when our vet told us about a product that can help cats, and even keep them calm.
Shortly after hearing about this product from our vet we were contacted and asked to review the product-wonderful, what a great way to try it out without investing the money (that was my exact thought!)
Ok, Ok…you want to know what the product is already…
Don’t let destructive behavior ruin your relationship with your cat. If something disturbs your cat’s environment, such as a new pet, visitors, moving to a new home or even rearranging the furniture, he may start urine marking, scratching or even stop eating. Comfort Zone with Feliway products help control destructive urine marking and scratching associated with fear or stressful situations.
What are Cat Pheremones?
Pheromones emitted by animals through their skin and glands are natural chemicals that help them to communicate with others of the same species. When your cat rubs his face on an object, or even you, he is releasing the feline facial pheromone that marks the area as familiar and safe. When he senses this facial pheromone through the nasal passage, he recognizes it as familiar and does not feel the urge to urine mark or scratch.
Comfort Zone contains this hormone to help your cat feel calm and less stressed.
We use the spray for the most part. We spray it into our cat carrier before we are leaving the house that way when we go to put our cat in he can breathe the hormones in and feel a little more comforted on the trip to town. While he is still nervous, it does help, and I no longer have scratches on my arms each time I have to load him into the vehicle!
