We love pizza. It’s actually the one food that no one really argues about. Yeah, we have a couple of picky eaters that prefer we order from certain restaurants when getting pizza from a restaurant, but that’s about it. Everyone loves pizza, especially when we make it together at home.
You know, I’m not a real crafty mom. I try to be, I really do. I’m that Mom that you see posting things on Pinterest that look nothing like they are supposed to, only she’s really proud and feels like she has accomplished huge things. Yep, that’s me!
But who can mess up pizza, right? That’s why I love it so much! I also feel like it’s a cool fun craft to do together as a family. Seriously, think about it, you are creating something awesome and having your family help make supper at the same time, what more could a mother possibly ask for?
We want to be a healthier family and have high hopes for the coming year. That is one reason we are looking for ways to make a healthier pizza at home. (Plus, making pizzas at home saves money, an added bonus). One change we have made is the crust. We are experimenting with a whole grain pizza crust made by Pillsbury. What do we think?
We think it’s delicious! I’m actually surprised that my family didn’t complain because I have a really hard time switching breads on them. I don’t know how they can tell the difference (their kids!) but they do, every time. Mom got them this time though and they were caught enjoying something healthy without even knowing it was healthy.
