When it comes to beauty products I can’t always afford the top of the line, however this is something that I am sometimes willing to spend a little extra on. My “mom guilt” kicks in a little at first when I purchase something for myself and not my children, however, let’s face it ladies, we aren’t getting any younger. Am I right?
Of course I am!
Can you believe that while shopping with my sister the other day I actually noticed like 3 gray hairs on the top of my head. (Those darn fluorescent lights!) Just when you start to feel a little good about yourself because your “Mom” jeans are getting a little baggy, which gives you the OK to go out and purchase a new, cuter pair of jeans without ALL of the Mom guilt, then you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror! Seriously? I just had a birthday, but am NOT that old! Really, I’m not!
Ok, enough trying to convince myself.
Now my husband, after hearing me complain of gray hair and speak of hair dyes understands why the creams and beauty products are so important. You got me, I’m sure he really doesn’t understand, however he does pretend to understand so that he doesn’t have to hear about it. Isn’t that what all men do?
I love when a company is kind enough to send me a product to review so that I don’t have to fork out the cash only to find that the product did nothing for me or that I had an allergic reaction.
So what did I review?
PMD sent me a home micro dermabrasion! I’m sure you all have heard of this product, right?
Just in case you haven’t I’ll tell you a little about it.
The Personal Microderm does for your skin what a new air filter and engine flush does for your car. (Really, this is what they tell me! And now I am wondering if the person that sent me this info is a man! Ha ha! I only joke because my husband would use a car comparison to explain something himself.)
Moving on…
Not only does the Personal Microderm help skin problems (like early texture changes, sun damaged skin, skin build up…you get the idea), but it also allows the lotions and makeup you use every day to have the best effect. Sounds great, right?
So what did I think?
To be honest after the first use I wasn’t sure that I loved it. I felt like it was a little weird, and I didn’t notice a ton of difference, however I was in LOVE with the small samples of Skin Refinish and Skin Recovery Moisture Lotion. After the second use of the Personal Microderm I was in love! I guess I didn’t really realize that it was doing anything for my skin at first, however after the second use I started to notice my skin was smoother, my pores seemed smaller, and my skin just looked much better all around.
(I was not paid to say any of these things. This is an honest review of a product that I received free to review from PMD. I only give honest reviews of products that we try. Thanks!)

would love to try this. esp. if it makes pores smaller
