We have been struggling to find things that will hold our boys’ attention for long. Given we can’t leave the house, other than to wonder the yard or go for a walk, we are trying to get creative and come up with fun things to do around the house. My boys were pretty excited when we unboxed the ProjeX the other week!
What is ProjeX?
If you ask my boys, they will say it’s a cool new game—and it’s a fun way for them to compete against one another! So, ProjeX is a portable, battery-operated projector. You blast moving targets that you project right onto your wall. It comes with two blasters, which are stored right on the unit, as well as a built-in LED scoreboard, and a place to keep image slides. We love that it is battery powered, so we can play it inside, or take it outdoors with us. You can play it on a blank wall in your home, your garage door, the side of your house, or wherever you choose! It’s such a fun gaming experience, and it allows you to turn any room into an incredible gaming arcade!
The game is recommended for children 6 and up, however it is great for any age child, as well as adults! Retailing for $49.99, the game can be purchased at Target, Walmart and www.ProjeXGame.com.
We think this game is great fun for the whole family! There are five games and three skill levels to keep players engaged. There is a beginning setting as well for the younger players. You can play by yourself, or go head-to-head with friends and family members. There is a Co-Op mode which lets two players combine their scores, allowing you to team up. There are 3 interchangeable image slides. You can blast ducks, targets or UFOs, and each have their own unique sound effects! Change the slides to change your level of difficulty. The blue slides are targets and they are the easier ones. The red are UFOs and they are medium, and the white are ducks and they are more difficult.
We love that there is no need for a TV! You just point ProjeX at a blank wall, grab a blaster and aim at the target! It allows you to enjoy real-life gaming without the limitations or a screen. It also makes it easier to bring the game to other locations, for even more fun! We will say that it does work best in a dark room. It is also best to project onto a light colored wall that doesn’t have artwork or wallpaper and patterns on it.
