Have any of you made a New Year’s Resolution? I try to every year and then am always disappointed when I forget about it or give up on it before I have achieved what I set out for. This year I have decided that I want to get my house organized. Having 4 boys can make for a lot of clutter! I have one child (my oldest) who thinks that he must keep everything! By everything I mean, if he eats a Popsicle he needs to keep the stick because he may want to use it later to make some sort of craft. It gets worse though! He wants to keep empty toilet paper rolls as well as paper towel rolls because you just never know when they might come in handy for making something! He’s creative, I’ll give him that, but oh my what I find when I’m cleaning out his things! Since I have been pregnant and sick I have been slacking at keeping up on the playroom as well as other things. My hubby has been great about helping out with things like the laundry and dishes and so forth, but he dare not go near the playroom! So, my wonderful mother came over last week and we tackled the disastrous playroom! It really did look like a tornado had gone through it before we started! When we were finished we had gotten rid of so many unused toys! The boys were a little nervous about getting rid of them at first, but they love their new clean playroom and actually PLAY in there now! Yep, they like to go in that room now!
We went to my sister’s house yesterday. The boys always love playing with their cousins who are 4 and 2. They had so much fun messing up my sister’s boys clean playroom! Of course, they picked up their playthings before we left. While we were there I snapped this cute pick of my nephew that I couldn’t resist sharing!
I also have been wanting to share this pic with you. My sis has a really cool old can that they have sitting out in one of the rooms of their home. They are remodeling right now, so she had it tucked away, but I had her get it out so I could get a pic of it. I do hope the coloring doesn’t look awful on here. It looks really cool on my laptop, but the resolution seems to be messed up on my laptop and sometimes things don’t actual look as they seem on my laptop. Forgive me if this is overexposed. I was going for the sepia look.
