Slippin & Sliding!

Our summer has been full of fun thus far. We have had a few bumps and bruises and some not-so-fun times, however the fun times far outweigh those not-so-fun times. I have taken on babysitting my 2 nephews during the week, so I now have 7 boys on a (almost) daily basis. (If you thought I was crazy before, you should see me now!—Kidding!)

We have been on many adventures and have had a lot of fun exploring our neighborhood and the ones around us. I’m not going to lie, I like to sit around and relax every now and then, but I love getting these kids outdoors and moving!

We had a picnic at the park last week. There happened to be a turtle in the corner of the shelter house and the boys were really concerned for his/her safety, so they took it down to the water and released it.

We have been visiting historical war sites, parks, walking nature paths (that’s my favorite and I can tell the boys really enjoy it as well), going for ice cream or slushies, and playing games in the yard. The only place I haven’t taken them is the library. I know, I should probably trust that they can be quiet, but would YOU take 7 boys into the library by yourself? I didn’t think so!

We had a lot of fun playing in the sprinkler and on the slip n slide yesterday.

Many people call me crazy, but I say, the more the merrier! We have great fun on a daily basis exploring and experimenting with stuff in and out of the house. I am always looking forward to seeing and hearing these little ones talk and explore.
