So, we all sat here at Christmas time wishing it would snow. We wanted a white Christmas, but then we (most of us) would have been happy to never see the white stuff again, at least until next Christmas, that is.
But, the beautiful white fluffy stuff (yeah it’s beautiful) just keeps showing up. It has clearly overstayed it’s welcome and now we are cold and tired of being indoors.
We’ve managed to do all of the crafts we can think of, and I wish I could say my house is clean from top to bottom, but let’s face it, having the kids home all day long (not able to go outdoors) has really put a damper on my cleaning plans (not that I wanted to clean anyway).
So, we have been venturing out (when the roads are clear enough do so).
We went bowling (gym class!)
We’ve gone for ice cream (these boys don’t care if there is snow on the ground—we’ve also made snow ice cream! Want the recipe? Find it HERE.)
Fun was had at the Toy Store where we purchased more crafts (see photo below this one) as well as some fun science experiment projects!
Oh the crafts…they are SO much fun! We count these as art class too!
But, I must say…playing in the snow seems to be one of their favorite things to do!
As long as they have a warm cup of Momma’s Hot Cocoa when they come in! (Check out these hot cocoa recipes!)
I’m not sure what next week will bring. You just never know in our crazy family!

You look like you are doing a fabulous job with your boys!!! I am in awe. The energy and patience it takes to create such a wonderful environment.

Thanks Sherry! Don’t get me wrong, there are days when I just want a nap, but we do ok for the most part. ๐

I love the quote: No such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes. Dress them up warm and let them play.

That’s a great quote! We have been getting our share of outdoor time, that’s for sure! ๐
