Soccer Moms are Busy!

We are in soccer mode and while I am crazy busy, I’m loving every minute of it! Our 4, 6 and (almost) 9 year old are all playing soccer this year. It’s the first time we have had 3 in sports all at once, and I was a little overwhelmed at first (I admit that).  I am quickly finding that having the boys at home doing their school work has actually given me more time. Sounds crazy, right? It really has though. I don’t feel like I’m struggling to fit time with my boys in. I don’t feel like I’m struggling to get the housework and everything done. Seriously, the racing and madness has been lessened! How crazy is that!?

We have soccer practice 3-4  nights a week and 2 games on Saturdays currently. After Labor Day weekend our older son playing soccer will start having games as well (and I’m sure it will get super busy then!) We have really enjoyed cheering our little guys on!

Aren’t they cute!?

soccer-coopThe goalie is our 6 year old! He is a pretty competitive little soccer player, but he seems to get bored when he’s goalie. He wants to be out running after the ball!

Our 4 year old is so fun to watch! He chases the ball and kicks it, then he stands there unsure of what to do next. He likes to take turns, what can I say? haha! Nothing wrong with giving someone else a turn, even if they are on the other team, right? (Wrong, but that’s ok, he’s learning!)

soccer-colt2I don’t have any photos of my older son playing since he hasn’t started games. He gets embarrassed when I try to take my camera out during practices and has asked that I wait until games to take pics since no one else is taking pics at practices. Isn’t he funny?

Are your children in sports?

Do you feel crazy busy? How are you managing everything?

I find that a nice schedule and routine works best for us! I even pre-plan meals and snacks and prepare them ahead of time so life is easier! No guessing leaves for a smoother week.

It is wonderful that the children are enjoying soccer, great exercise. The photos are terrific. My son always loved basketball.
