I’m so sorry I haven’t posted in a few days. Things have been a bit busy around here as I have been trying to prepare for a Super Why birthday party. Our 3rd child turns 4 this Monday, so we had a party for him on Saturday to celebrate. He dearly loves the Super Why cartoon on PBS, but we were unable to find Super Why decorations and so forth. However, we were able to find someone willing to attempt to make a Super Why cake for us, and I think she did an amazing job! Even better, the cake was the yummiest we have ever tasted!!! We will definitely be going back to her for our next birthday party!
Friday as I am trying to straighten the house up and get things ready for the party I hear the boys in the living room giggling and having so much fun, so I grab my camera and head in to see what is going on. Yes, I grabbed my camera, because you just never know what you are going to walk in on and what I was hearing from the other room sounded like it was going to be something good! As I’m sneaking around the corner with my camera in position and ready I catch a glimpse of the boys both blind folded with arms up! They had blind folded themselves and were boxing! Here is the pic I was able to capture. What silly boys!
Later that day we made a trip to Wal-Mart to get some last minute things for the party and meet up with Grandma (my Mom) so our little birthday guy could pick out his present (or should I say presents?) from Grandma. He sure did come home with a lot of things that Mommy is really loving (I’m saying that so very sarcastically as I sit here typing trying to think of what I’m going to say b/c there is a little 4 year old in the background blowing on a plastic flute in the background. It was even more fun on the ride home from the store, which is 20 minutes, but felt like 2 hours!) Grandma always buys the best toys! Ok, back to what I was going to tell you about…Grandma bought each of the older 3 boys a Nerf sword. After hearing me tell Daddy about the boxing incident earlier in the day the boys decided to blind fold themselves and try this method out with their swords. Here is a pic of my oldest and 6 year old. They are so silly sometimes! My hubby is just lucky I’m not posting the pic with him sword fighting as well! Priceless!
Overall it was a fun weekend for us. I will be posting a few more pics within the next couple of days from this weekend. For now I must go enjoy the rest of our weekend before it is over. More to come on raising my 4 sons. Thanks so much for following, and be sure to check out all of our awesome reviews and giveaways!
