Be sure to check out my FREE Giveaway!!!!

Yesterday my cousin and her 2 boys ages (almost) 7 and 2 came over for a visit. We had a nice visit and all of the kids had a ton of fun playing! The neighbor kids were over yesterday as well, so there were a total of 10 kids here, and only ONE of them was a girl! The kids all had so much fun, but were really tired by nights end. I believe they hit their pillows around 10pm.

This morning everyone was up and out of bed by 8am. Which, isn’t a bad time considering they usually like to wake me before 7am. However, since they were all up a little later last night I was hoping they would have slept in a little longer. So here is how our day went today….
Wake at 8am. Everyone RUN down the steps, because no one can ever walk quietly down the steps, and they have a TON of energy first thing in the morning. I wish I had half of their energy!!! I fed the boys breakfast and then started giving them baths. After all 4 boys had been bathed and dressed we started picking up the toys that they had managed to drag out while I was giving the others baths. How they can get so much out in such a small amount of time always amazes me! After picking up toys and getting everyone settled down in front of the television Mom has to get ready. So, I get ready, and of course they drag all of the toys out again! So, we pick all of the toys up again, I do the dishes and throw some laundry in and we RUN out the door! You have to run or something else is going to come up and we are going to get stuck at home dealing with it for another hour! 🙂

So, where was I? Oh, we run out the door. I load everyone up and we head to town. I had promised the boys we would eat lunch out today because quite frankly I’m tired and I just don’t feel like cooking. So I ask the boys where they want to eat and for a change they don’t say McDonalds! Woohoo! Mommy is so tired of McDonalds on the weekends it’s not funny! So, we go to Burger King and $24 later we are all fed and everyone is happy! We brought Grandma (my hubby’s mom) lunch and we sat and ate our lunch at her house. When we were all finished eating we headed back into town to do a little shopping. There is a little sporting goods store in the town that my mother in law lives in and they were having a sale, so we went there to see if we could find a gym bag for my oldest. (Why do 4th graders have to change their clothes for gym anyways?) We ended up finding a gym bag (Nike) that was surprisingly only $10! My mother in law insisted on paying for it too! Which was so very nice of her! (I’m sure she is reading this..ha ha!) After walking all the way uptown, unloading the kids and then loading them all back up we headed to K-Mart. The boys had some birthday money that they were just dying to spend! So, today they got to spend it. I can NOT believe the price of toys these days! Do you know how much unnecessary stuff you can get for $200? Crazy! I could have gotten so much clothes with that money! But, it’s their money and they were allowed to spend it as they chose. We then loaded all of the kids back up and headed to the shoe store. This time Grandma sat in the car with the air on with all of the kids while I ran in. I bought a pair of shoes and 10 pairs of socks for the boys for $26!!! They all have their school shoes now and Mommy is relieved! I was in and out of the shoe store in no time at all. We then headed to Hallmark for Webkinz. The kids love them so much! They sure are some expensive little stuffed animals though! The kids were really excited to get their new Webkinz and they were even more excited when the cashier told them that she had a “Wheel of Wow” that they each would get to spin! They each won a prize and our 4 year old won a Webkinz! After all of this we were all really tired (well at least I know Grandma and I were) and the kids were blowing whistles in the car (which I didn’t realize came with the toy handcuffs that they bought with their money!) Yes, I got them handcuffs! Why, I don’t know! So we dropped Granny off (I’m sure she is probably asleep with a headache right about now) and we headed home.
