I’m sick, so this post may not be my best. Please bare with me….
What are your children asking for this Christmas?
My boys made me lists. Here are a few things off of each of their lists…
3 year old
A tractor with blue tires, a Santa Claus that pops up and a Christmas toy. (I’m sure I will have no problem finding a Christmas toy, however he sure didn’t narrow that down much, and I’m not sure where he got his ideas for his other gifts.)
6 year old
A cat house (for a stray cat that doesn’t seem to want to leave. I thought it was sweet he was thinking of the cat), a flute, drums, trumpet and guitar (I’m thinking he wants to start his own band), and a CAT (we already have an indoor cat and dog and now the stray cat outside. I sure hope his heart isn’t broken if he doesn’t get a cat.)
8 year old
A real live PIG (This cracks me up because he says that he seriously wants a real live pig and this is at the TOP of his list), a Jerzzy (his spelling, and I can probably handle finding this), and a Nerf Gun (when did these get so expensive?)
11 year old
A Kindle Fire, and iPod Touch, Xbox 360 games and quite a few other REALLY expensive things. (I think all of the boys, even our 3 year old who has no clue what it even is, asked for an iPod Touch.)
Yes, I have 5 boys, however the baby is easy this year because he can’t tell me what he wants. Although, he does point, get real excited and yell when he sees stuff he likes on tv. Should I be worried that he’s starting at such a young age? ha!
As I’m sitting here feeling pretty sick, I’m listening to the boys talk (if you never do this, you really must, kids have the best conversations amongst one another.) Here are some things I hear…
6 year old to 3 year old…
“Do you want me to fart in your face?”
3 year old says…
“Umm (as if he has to think about this) No, I don’t. Why?”
Then, they move on like this conversation never took place.
Really???
More to Come on Raising My 5 Sons…
