When planning a kids party you will want to make sure you start planning ahead of time, that way you are not running around last minute trying to throw things together. Everything always goes much smoother when things are planned out well in advance.
1). Pick a Theme– Once you have a theme of choice you will be able to choose all of your supplies to match.
2). Party Favors– You will want to make sure you have party favors for kids. These can be as simple as candy, small trinkets, or little gifts. It is fun for the guests to receive and take home something small. It’s like a little token of appreciation for attending the party.
3). Send out Invitations– Be sure to send invitations well in advance and ask for an RSVP so you know how many will be attending and how much food and so forth you should plan.
4). Purchase decorations– This goes along with your theme. You’ll need to get the decorations and supplies (plates, napkins, cups and so forth) for the event.
5). Venue– Be sure your venue will hold enough people and will appropriately accommodate a group of children. It makes more sense to hold a child’s party at a place like a park, bowling alley, put-put-golf, theme park or a small hall then it would to be in an upscale restaurant.
6). Food– Don’t forget to plan the food you would like to have at the party. Keeping things fun and simple is always nice- think Pizzas, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.
Whatever you do, don’t forget that this is all about having fun. Don’t sweat the small stuff. If you forget something, chances are no one will even notice! Enjoy making these memories with your child and their friends!
