Tips for tidying your closet can come in helpful, especially after a big more, or when you are struggling to find things due to being unorganized and cluttered. Having a tidy closet can be a real stress relief and can help simplify your morning routine. Things run a lot smoother when they are in order.
Tips For Tidying Your Closet:
1.) Keep Things Off The Floor– While you may have the notion to walk in and kick your shoes off onto the floor, it really does help clear up clutter and make the closet feel much larger when you keep things up off of the floor. You might consider adding a shoe organizer for a more organized shoe space in your closet.
2.) Do It In Sections– You can start with bags and then move onto shoes, jewelry, clothing and so forth. This way you can stay focused on one thing at a time and it won’t feel so overwhelming.
3.) Pitch It– If you haven’t worn it or used it in the last year, pitch it. You can make a pile for pitch, keep, donate, sell. This will help you stay organized, and you will feel so much more accomplished once you have finished de-cluttering.
4.) Add Closet Organizers– You may consider adding shelving units, shoe and handbag organizers, jewelry organizers, something for scarves and belts and so forth. This will really allow you to free up the space and keep things together, allowing for a much easier time finding things.
5.) Organize– Once you have things sorted, decide how you want to organize them. Some may organize by color while others choose to put all like things together such as; vests, sweaters, dress blouses, slacks, jeans, colored trousers, jackets, t-shirts and so forth.

I’m horrible with throwing stuff on the floor! But this is a great reminder of how great it feels when I have a clean closet! In fact, I’m motivated now. I’m gonna use these to clean and organize this weekend! Woohoo!
