I loved watching cartoons as a child. For my siblings and I Saturday mornings were a time to rush down the stairs to flip the television on so we could enjoy one of our favorite cartoons. I’m actually pretty disappointed in the cartoons now days though. When I told friends and family about how I wouldn’t allow my children to watch some of the very popular cartoons they thought I was crazy.
Crazy? Really? Have you seen them? Have you listened to what they say on them and the morals to the stories?
When we were kids there was a moral at the end of every show and no one said “Shut up” or had to be beeped out for saying a cuss word.
I was pretty happy when I was contacted about reviewing TV Flashbacks by Mill Creek Entertainment.
I have always wanted my children to view the cartoons that we watched when we were younger. While some of the cartoons we received for review are not cartoons I watched when I was younger, many of them were. My husband and I are only a couple of years apart, however he was familiar with some of the ones that I wasn’t and I was familiar with some that he wasn’t sure of.
You can give your kids hours of pleasure with these brain stimulating mysteries they can help solve.
These quality DVDs provide the fun at affordable prices that won’t hurt your pocketbook. They introduce and engage your children in a retro-resurgence of nostalgia and discovery from icons of the 80s and 90s.
We received Heathcliff (this was one of my favorites as a child!), Carmen Sandiego, Sherlock Holmes, Gadget Boys, Cops and many more! I was actually quite surprised at how much my children liked the cartoons. I was a little worried that they might not be interested. A couple of our boys really enjoyed COPS and our younger boys loved Heathcliff! Prices start at just $7.99! (Isn’t that wonderful!?)

What I remember the most is my Mom complaining that I could never manage getting up to go to school in the mornings, however, I had no problem getting up at 7 a.m. on Saturday morning to see the smurfs!
