A lot of you have been commenting and emailing me saying that you can’t believe I am 20 weeks already! Crazy, huh? But, it’s true. Why does it seem like the first 20 weeks goes SO much faster than the last?
Well we had our ultrasound today. Everything looked good from what we could tell. Of course, we have to wait for the tech to read it and then they have to send the results to my doctor. I have a doctor’s appointment on Monday, so he will be able to tell me how things were then.
We told the tech right away that we didn’t want to find out the sex of the baby, and surprisingly we didn’t even peek! She measured the legs, but never really went “down there” or anywhere near that area for long. She is good!
The baby was very active! That doesn’t surprise me any either. My due date is set for July 21. When I went in for my early ultrasound the baby measured just a little big (July 19) but my doc stuck with my due date because I was pretty sure I knew when I ovulated (I get pains) and because it’s normal for my babies to measure big. (I just don’t want to have one bigger than 9lbs 15oz-which has been our biggest so far!) So, today the baby measured July 16th, so he/she is just continuing to GROW, which is good I guess, but let’s slow that down just a bit…ha ha! No, really it’s ok because Mommy can handle whatever is thrown at me. I just want a healthy baby, big or small.
