Life has been busy for us these past couple of months.
With a new baby, school in session and my husband traveling a lot I don’t find myself blogging about our daily doings near as much as I would like to.
I do plan to bring you those funny stories about my boys after the holidays, when life starts to slow back down for us again.
Here is a little update for you all for now…
My baby boy just turned 4 months! (Yes, already! Crazy, right!?)
He went in for his well check and is 18lbs and 28inches long!!!!
His weight is at the top of the chart, but his height is OFF of the chart! This is nothing new for us though because we tend to have BIG boys!
We are doing great with the cloth diapering and LOVE every minute of it, although my little guy seems to be allergic to most of the better laundry detergents. Hopefully he will outgrow that though. If you have suggestions I would LOVE to hear them!
My 2 year old is doing great as well! He is so stubborn and when he wants something he really stands his ground to try to get what he wants. I don’t think this is a bad thing, although Mommy stands her ground too. ๐Ÿ˜‰ His big brothers like to give him what he wants though!
Our 5 year old is doing great in Pre-K. He is such a smart little guy. He can not only say his ABC’s forward, but can also say them backward! Our oldest started doing this in Kindergarten and he taught our (now) 7 year old to do this last year when he was in Kindergarten, but our 5 year old picked up on it a little sooner! He is a very determined child and doesn’t like to give up. The teachers at school sent them home with a paper shoe with strings laced in it. The day he brought the shoe home he was so determined to tie his shoes. He sat at that shoe until he could tie them! He has been doing it himself ever since! He was the same way with riding his bike. It’s a great trait to have! ๐Ÿ™‚
Our 7 year old is an awesome speller and reader! His teacher always has good things to say about him. As a matter of fact, she told me at parent teacher conferences that he is the sweetest, most well behaved boy. I am so proud!
My 10 year old is our brain of the family. He likes all things electronic and can probably figure out and do more on the computer and so forth than I can. His teachers (I met with 3 of them at once) told me that he is the most well mannered and well behaved student. My boys sure do make me proud! I sure hope when my stubborn 2 year old gets to elementary the teachers have the same to say! he he!
As for me…
I am on a mission to lose this baby weight. After the 5th it hasn’t been coming off as easily. I have started exercising and am doing a diet that is ok while nursing (have to make sure my little man gets what he needs.)
I would love to hear success stories from others.
If you have lost weight one way or another share your stories! It’s great motivation for the rest of us!
I hope you all have Happy Holidays!
You will hear more from me soon.

Update…
Ending up going to Doctor’s Care over the weekend with myself and baby. I thought maybe baby had thrush and figured I better get that taken care of because we would never get better if he did. I also started running a fever again and was very uncomfortable. So, off we went Sunday evening. We got there around 8pm and didn’t get out until 10:30 pm! My little guy was so good though. I nursed and changed in back in our room and he was good to go. The nurses and doctor all commented on how cute he was, and they couldn’t believe how big he was for only being 3 weeks old!
He now weighs 11 pounds 9 1/2 oz!!!
(As for the thrush, his mouth is just barely white. She said she would give us something, but she didn’t think it was too bad.)
Oh, and we started cloth today! Reviews coming soon! ๐Ÿ™‚
As for my Mastitis, it had gotten worse. The doc changed my meds and is hoping that will help. I sure hope so, because I really hate feeling like this. It’s hard enough when you are sick and don’t have kids, but when you have 5 young ones to take care of and chase after it makes things really rough.

I am trying to get caught up on reviews/giveaways. Keep checking back because I have a TON of them to get up!
Also, I am not sure what is going on with my feedburner and so forth. I keep getting emails saying that there are problems with my feeds. So, if anyone knows and can help that would be WONDERFUL! Thanks!
Also, the Winner of the ATG Contest did not leave an email address.
They have until tomorrow night to email me, or the prize is forfeited and I will pick a new winner by Wed.
My older boys are not looking forward to starting school next week, however I think deep down they are wanting to get back into the routine. They need a routine and this summer we have not really had one with all we have had going on. I can’t wait to get back into a routine myself. Things go much smoother when you have a good routine.

UPDATES!!!!

I had a GREAT doctor’s appointment today!
I am 35 weeks pregnant today and have 35 days until my due date!
Can you believe I only have 35 days left?
Not that I will probably have the baby in 35 days (I usually am 4-8 days late) but at least it is getting closer!
So today at my doctor’s appointment he did an ultrasound. He likes to check things out just to make sure fluids levels are good and so forth. He said he will be doing an ultrasound every week from now until the time I have my baby…yay! And for those wondering…NO, I will NOT be looking between the legs at any point in time…ha ha! We have waited this long I figure we can wait another 5-6 weeks.
Anyways, he checked me at this appointment and I am already 1 centimeter dilated! Yay!
I guess this doesn’t necessarily mean anything, but at least I know that all of the contractions and cramps I have been having are actually doing something, right?
With my other boys I was always 4 cm and not in labor yet though, so I’m not getting worried or even thinking that this means that the baby will come early or on time. I am excited though! Just shows that we are getting closer!
I have had a few of you email asking to see my baby outfits, so tonight I took a photo of them, as well as of a little pair of baby shoes that I couldn’t resist when I saw them and saw the $3 price tag on them! Seriously, how could I NOT buy them for $3?
So here you go…
The baby girl outfit is not what I had originally planned on getting, however I have looked and looked and I was so tired of looking. I don’t think it is that I was really being picky, but that I just couldn’t bring myself to buy anything because I felt like it might be a waste of my money. Does that make sense? However, my sis was with me the day I bought this little dress. I saw it, thought it was cute and she said…You’re buying it!
One less thing I have to worry about now!
Update on potty training…
My little guy is doing great and on his own! I do not ask him if he has to go, and he is going ALL day long! He is still learning about telling me before he starts to pee, however if he does start to pee in his diaper it is just a little and he finishes in the potty. He pooped in the potty twice today!!!! Yay!
Both times he came to me and said “Potty Mommy” and I rushed him in and he went! I just hope that he keeps this up and within the next 35 days we can have him fully potty trained! How great would that be!?
I’ll keep you posted on this as well as baby updates.
