How many times have you rented a movie for your children only to find that the message being portrayed wasn’t really something you were fond of? Or, that the graphics or content were simply not something you wanted your children to see/hear? It’s happened to us time and time again. In fact, it wasn’t long ago that we rented a movie that had actually come with high reviews from friends of ours, only to find out that the words in the movie were very inappropriate. This was even a cartoon-like movie.
It disappoints me greatly that producers and writers feel the need to throw in negative messages and bad language when a movie is geared toward the young.
Our younger boys LOVE VeggieTales, and we love that we can safely allow them to watch these videos without any fear or doubt that there might be something bad portrayed in the movie. VeggieTales movies are full of wonderful life lessons that our children often walk away talking about for days to come. I love that!
Check out this super cute Trailer from Family Christian!
In the VeggieTales DVD: Noah’s Ark, Noah and his family set out on an adventure aboard an ark. They take along with them a zoo full of animals. After 40 days and 40 nights of rain they all have their faith tested and it’s evident that they are ready to just give up, but that’s not where it ends. I don’t want to spoil the video for you because it really is a cute video. My boys knew the story of Noah ahead of time, but they loved watching this video and seeing a glimpse of what it might have been like for Noah, his family and the animals.
Find out if they turn around and set out on a new path, or if Noah and his family Trust in God.

We love the Veggie Tales DVD, and have a few of them and they are really good DVDs and teach children about God in a way that they can understand.
