Have you ever seen the Adam Sandler movie, Big Daddy? You know, the one where the little boy yells, “I wipe my own a$$!” That movie has crept into my mind a few times the last couple of days. Our 4 year old is finally wiping his own butt! You wouldn’t believe how much of a milestone that is for us! I mean, when you have been wiping little butts for as long as I have it’s always great when there is one less butt to wipe! He’s so cute about it too. He used to sit on the potty and yell, “I’m done! Wipe me!” Now he just says, “Mom, fold my toilet paper!” ha ha! Gotta love em! He has been potty trained for a really long time, actually since he was a little over
2, but he just never wanted to wipe. He would always say things like his arm was to short. Silly boy!
While I’m on the subject I must say that the one thing I really wish I could have is a bright white shiny, sparkly potty! I don’t mean sparkly like glitter, I mean so clean you can see yourself in it! Sound funny? Well those of you reading that have little boys know exactly what I’m talking about! I tell you, I have to clean that darn toilet a couple times a day if I want to keep it clean! I’m not really sure how they manage to pee in so many different spots, but if you ask them individually, it’s never any of them doing it. That’s right, it must be ME! They are getting a lot better though. I have told them that they need NOT stare at the ceiling or look around wondrously while they let it go! Funny boys!
Ok…onto something a little less gross…
It was so foggy here today that school was cancelled. We only just getting back into our school routine and already the boys were jumping for joy because they got to stay home and play all day! Our boys and the neighbor boys all played in the yard. They had a lot of fun! There were 2 frogs or toads, I guess maybe they are toads(Mommy doesn’t know much about these things) hopping around the yard today, so the neighbors took one and my boys took the other. Of course, my boys ended up with the big fat one that they all insist is pregnant. That would be my luck too! We always end up with the pregnant animals that never seem to quit reproducing!
Here is a picture of the fat toad that we are now the proud owners of. Yay!
