Let’s face it, most of us become stressed and feel a little overwhelmed during the holidays. We get caught up in finding the perfect gifts, rushing around, the money we are about to spend (or finding the money to spend) and much more. That’s not what the holidays are all about, and it really isn’t necessary. I’d like to share some tips that I have incorporated over the past couple of years that have brought my holidays from stressful to “bless”ful.
Ways to Keep Stress Away During Holidays
1.) Plan early– Don’t wait until the last minute to buy all of your gifts. #1- You might not be able to find the really popular ones and #2- You may end up paying more.
2.) Set a Price limit– Decide ahead of time how much money you want to spend on gifts. Then decide how much money you will spend on each person/gift. Stick to the budget.
3.) Set a gift limit– You don’t just need to set a price limit, but you need to decide ahead of time how many gifts you will be purchasing. It’s much easier to not go overboard when you have a number in mind ahead of time.
4.) Family gifts (combined gifts)– If you have others to buy for, instead of buying for each individual person, purchase couple or family gifts. You can make them fun with themes like movie night, game night, crafts…be creative!
5.) Help those in need– It truly does make you feel good to be able to help someone less fortunate. Even if it’s just buying the person behind you a cup of coffee. (Tis the reason for the season).
We hope you will have a stress free blessed holiday season and that you enjoy our ways to keep stress away during holidays!

The best tip I ever heard is people remember the things that make Christmas unique- so those mistakes or not so perfect moments? Dont seat the small stuff 🙂

I always try to shop ahead. I just get so overwhelmed otherwise. I think it is also important to remember the real reason for season.

I shop year round (with a budget) and that helps me a lot.
