Does your family have an oral care routine?
I believe that it is very important for us to teach our children while they are young to take care of their teeth. We have little timers for our boys to make things a little more fun for them. They love watching the sand fall from one end to the other while brushing. Not only does it make it a little more fun, but it insures that they are brushing for the exact amount of time and not rushing through things. I also sometimes let them decorate their toothbrush with stickers and so forth. (This is more fun for the younger kids.) Another fun thing is letting the kids take part in helping to choose their toothpaste, floss and mouth wash. They love being part of decisions, even oral care decisions.

We will be using Listerine products to brush, floss and rinse with twice a day for 3 weeks.
While we know that it is very important to keep this routine of brushing, flossing and rinsing twice a day, we sometimes fall out of routine. I admit that being a busy Mom of 5 I don’t always take the time I need to keep up with this routine. We are going to make sure that during our 3 week challenge we can prove that this is something that we can easily incorporate into our schedules and stick with. I want to make sure I set my kids up with a great oral care routine while they are young so it isn’t something tat seems hard to them when they are older. If it is something they are used to doing I think they will be more opt to do it on their own.
