White Rice and Other Foods Necessary for Quick and Easy Meals

Busy moms may not have the time every night to cook a huge family dinner. By keeping your pantry and fridge stocked with some staple foods, quick and easy meals can be cooked under any circumstance. Whether you had a long day at the office, were out with the kids all day, or simply do not feel like preparing a home cooked meals, the following five foods can make your life a little bit easier and provide your family with a delicious meal in no time at all.

Keeping White Rice in the Pantry 

White rice is one staple food that everyone should keep their pantry stocked with. White rice only takes a few minutes to cook by simply boiling water. Rice can be served with a variety of different meats including chicken and beef, or turned into a simple yet tasty stir fry. White rice is also very inexpensive, making it easy to stock up on and serve with your meals.

Simply heat up the sauce on the stove or in the microwave and serve over top of your favorite pasta. This meal can be completed in as little as 15 minutes, an excellent option for busy moms and families.

Frozen Vegetables and Breakfast Foods 

Frozen vegetables are an easy way to ensure that you are eating healthy at dinner with very little work. Frozen vegetables come in steam pouches that can be popped into the microwave for a few minutes and then served with dinner. Frozen waffles are another great option to keep in your freezer. Children especially love having breakfast foods for dinner and these can be whipped up in just minutes.  These foods and more can be used on a day to day basis to make some of your favorite meals or used to make quick meals when you’re running short on time or energy.
