I wasn’t feeling the greatest today. I must have a bit of a bug, and it seems that the baby has it too, although he is still very active and playful. Because I wasn’t feeling the greatest and Daddy wasn’t home for supper I decided to take the boys to a fast food restaurant, I know, I know, not the best for them, but we all do it every now and again. On our way to town the boys are laughing, fighting and having their usual conversations. I’m not sure where this conversation came from, but all of a sudden one of the boys says this to me…
“Mom, what is one thing that boys do that girls really don’t like?”
Hmmm I say, well I would have to say that we really don’t like when boys leave the toilet seat up. You know that, right?
“Yes Mom, we know that, but why don’t you like it when the toilet seat is up?”
I say, “Well, for starters I don’t like to fall into the toilet!”
I hear a bunch of giggles in the backseat and then this…
“We have been talking and we think that since you are outnumbered and there are more boys than girls in the family, you are the only girl Mom, and there are 6 of us boys, so we should get to leave the toilet seat up and you should have to put it up for us when you are done.”
I do have to say that they have a point there, however Momma is the boss, and the toilet seat must go down after every use. 🙂

My boys are so funny. Our 2 year old had a container with little snacks in it. His brothers asked him if they could have a couple and he said no. My 10 year old knows that wording is everything when speaking to his brothers, so he asks again. Once again, he is told no. He decides to get creative and says, well can I have a lot? Believe it or not that did the trick and he gave him a handful! Our 7 year old then decided to ask his brother if he could have a “few.” He was quickly given a “No” and was a little disappointed. When our 10 year old saw this he whispered in his brother’s ear, “Ask him if you can have a lot.” So, he says, can I have a lot? Once again, our 2 year old quickly dishes him out a handful. How funny is that!?
