I have 4 boys.
You have 4…what? Oh, you poor woman!
No really though, I don’t feel poor at all (although sometimes I wish I had a mute button just so I could hear myself think every now and then, but don’t we all?)
My motto has been more like “Blessed With Boys.” I like that, and I’m actually thinking it should go in my header somewhere if this next baby is a boy!
You wouldn’t believe how many people have told me that “for my sake” they hope I am having a girl. For my sake? Well, I guess I do get headaches often, but wouldn’t I get them if I had 4 girls? I must say YES as I am the oldest of 3 girls (this is not including my Dad’s children who lived in his household.) I can’t really say what it is like to raise a girl, but I am one and have sisters, and I know what we put my Mother through…Sorry Mom!
So as I am cleaning sticky worm guts up off of my dining room floor (eww, right?) wiping boogies off of the walls (ok, not really, but I’m sure if I looked close enough I could probably find a few) and explaining to my children for the hundreth time why it is not ok to ride the skateboard down the slide I am reminded of why I became a Mother.
I became a Mother because I love the challenge. I love the love that I get back from my children. I love that they look up to me and want to be around me (they aren’t teenagers yet!) I love that I am teaching them and helping to make them who they will be for the rest of their lives. I love everything about being a mother!
My blog has grown so much since I started it, not long ago. I am truly blessed to have met some wonderful bloggers along the way. I hope you all will continue to follow me and read about my Crazy, hectic, loud, But fun and Loving family!
More to Come on Raising My 4 Sons…
