Kids really can be so funny at times. I’m sitting in the living room watching cartoons with 3 of my 4 boys when a commercial comes on. My 4 year old really pays attention to commercials these days. If you remember right, he’s the child that asked me if I’m 18 or older and then got excited because then I could buy him the toy that they were advertising. Well lately he has been asking for some funny things, things that I normally wouldn’t think of buying for a 4 year old, and I wouldn’t think a 4 year old would get excited about.
While sitting here we see the commercial for the Potty Patch (the little grassy pads for your dog to potty on inside the house) and he got all excited and was telling me how our much our little doggy could use these. It was just too funny!
Yesterday my sister and her family were over. They have 2 boys ages 4 and 2. Her 2 year old (who will be 3 in June) saw a commercial for Perfect Brownies (the pan that slices the brownies for you and makes the perfect size and shape brownie.) When he saw this commercial he got all excited and wanted us to go buy one! I thought it was so funny because he is so young. Maybe he really just wanted the brownies? I know I did!
Another thing that my boys have been asking me for since Christmas is the Touch N Brush Hands Free Toothpaste Dispenser. Isn’t that funny? They even asked for it for Christmas? I’m a bad Mom because I felt the toys they wanted were a little higher priority on the list of things to get. I figured they may be a little bummed if they got the toothpaste dispenser instead of the cool new toys they had asked for.
I just find it really funny that they actually want these items. It’s not just my 4 year old. They are all asking me for these things. I guess the commercials are doing what they set out to do. However, Mom’s still not completely convinced.
